Masters Synchronised Swimming

What is Masters Synchronised Swimming?

Masters is the term we use to define anyone training and competing in synchronised swimming over the age of 18.

Do I have to have done it before?

Medway Synchro are proud to offer Masters Sessions to all, ranging from senior swimmers of the junior club, to complete beginners. So long as you are okay in deep water, you can learn at your own pace, with detailed instruction from incredible coaches.

What do I need?

Yourself and your swimming stuff.

This should preferably be a one piece swimsuit and a pair of goggles, plus a towel and some warm clothes to wear when you leave.

On your first session you will be provided with a hat, and you can purchase a nose clip for £3. This will help you to go upside down if you’re feeling adventurous.

Taster sessions are £5 and, if you like it and want to join us, monthly fees are £30.

Where is it?

Medway Synchro Masters are training at the Hoo Sport Centre Pool on Thursdays 8-9pm.

There is also a session on the first Sunday of each month at Medway Park, Gillingham 4-5pm.

Here's a quote from Masters Swimmer Rosie:

"I absolutely love the synchro masters sessions. I wanted to take up a new sport but had assumed I was too old to start something like synchronised swimming, so I was very excited to find out about the Medway Mermaids adult sessions. They're absolutely brilliant - it's so much fun, everyone is really friendly and even in just two months I've learnt so much! It's also been great for my health and fitness too - working in a sedentary office job means I don't get too many opportunities during the day for exercise, so having the sessions is perfect to keep me active. I've already seen a massive difference in my core strength and fitness levels from week 1.

I can't wait to learn more!"
